Preparing For Your Visit
At Shade Skin Cancer Medicine we aim to elevate the patient experience and ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit to our clinic.
Before each skin check and treatment there may be certain instructions and policies that are communicated to you by our friendly team when booking your appointment. We ask that you pay close attention to these to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Do I need to do anything before my visit?
Please ensure you come to your appointment wearing loose and comfortable clothing to ensure a comfortable examination by your treating doctor. For full skin checks your doctor will need to examine your skin fully so please make sure your clothing is suitable for this. We also ask that you do not wear any makeup, artifical tan or nail polish to your appointment to ensure your skin can be examined fully. Please do not wear any jewellery to your skin cancer surgery appointments as this will need to be removed.
Prior to your appointment it is important for you to note any new moles or changing moles, any lesions that may worry you or any skin changes that have occurred since your last skin check.
For all new patients we will request your full health and medical history including a list of current medications, previous skin cancer treatments, biopsies or surgery, your family history and your history of sun exposure. If you have a history of skin cancer and have previous results or reports available we kindly request these to be brought into your consultation. You are welcome to complete your new patient forms on arrival to the clinic - please allow 10 minutes prior to your appointment for this purpose.
Before you arrive at Shade Skin Cancer Medicine ensure you have adequate time for parking to avoid feeling rushed. We want you to enjoy your time in our comfortable and relaxing clinic.
